Biography

Emilios Tsekenis was born in Douala (Cameroon). He studied Economics at the University of Montpellier I (France) and Social Anthropology at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (Paris). His publications concern the ethnography and the precolonial history of the Cameroon Grassfields. Topics include: the production of locality, and the formation of individual and collective identity(ies) in the Cameroon Grassfieds during the pre-colonial era as well as in contemporary Grassfields.
